Fares Al-Shargie worked with the research and development group of Hitachi. Ltd, Japan. Dr. Fares Al-Shargie is interested in performing neuroimaging research using EEG, Eye Tracking and fNIRS, and developing new data analysis methods. Dr. Fares is currently working as a visiting Postdoctoral Fellow aiming to improve cognitive vigilance by developing an objective enhancement technique.
Dr. Malik Nasir Afzal Khan
Dr. Malik Nasir Afzal Khan is a dedicated researcher in the field of biomedical signal processing and cognitive neuroscience. Dr. Malik holds a Bachelor's degree from Pakistan, where he actively participated in numerous projects related to biomedical signal processing, building a strong foundation in the field. Seeking further knowledge and growth, he embarked on an integrated Masters-PhD program at Pusan National University in South Korea. During his time there, he focused on brain imaging techniques such as fNIRS and EEG, delving into the field of brain stimulation and brain-computer interface systems. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow, Dr. Malik is dedicated to enhancing cognitive vigilance, with a particular focus on improving attention and sustained concentration to advance cognitive performance. Joining Neuroengineering Research Group, Dr. Malik is looking forward to collaborating with fellow researchers, exploring the intricacies of the human brain, and contributing to the ever-evolving field of cognitive neuroscience.
