AUS admissions and scholarship advisors ready to meet visitors at IES and Najah
Prospective undergraduate and graduate students from across the UAE will have the opportunity to visit with American University of Sharjah (AUS) admissions and scholarships advisors at the International Education Show (IES) at Expo Centre Sharjah starting today, October 19, through October 21, and Najah in Abu Dhabi from October 27 to 29.
AUS representatives will be at the two events to share key information about how to apply to AUS—including the minimum requirements for first-time applicants—as well as details about the wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs available.
AUS representatives will also be available to provide information about the university’s comprehensive merit and need-based scholarships and financial grant program, which sees around two-thirds of AUS students benefitting each year. For those interested in graduate studies, AUS also offers merit-based graduate teaching and research assistantships and work-study opportunities to eligible master’s and PhD students.
Ali Shuhaimy, Executive Director of Enrollment Management at AUS, said admission to AUS is highly competitive, and he encourages prospective student to apply early to be considered for a place and for financial grants and scholarships opportunities.
“Every year, we seek ambitious and exceptional students who are looking to create a difference in this world, and we continue to do our best to ensure that financial means do not become a hindrance for them to get the best education they deserve. We are looking forward to meeting prospective students and their parents at these events and helping them plan their future,” said Shuhaimy.
“AUS is among the top 50 universities in the world under 50 years of age, according to QS World University Rankings—a result of the accomplishments of our highly qualified full-time faculty, exceptional students and talented alumni who have risen to positions of prominence in the region and beyond. Our four colleges are distinguished by their excellence in teaching and research, contributions to knowledge transfer and international outlook,” he said.
Ranked among the top 10 Arab universities for seven years running by QS Arab Region University Rankings (2022), AUS is recognized for its internationally accredited academic programs and its extracurricular opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to hone their critical thinking, communication and leadership skills. Under the mentorship and guidance of faculty who are experts in their fields, AUS undergraduate and graduate students contribute to innovative research, gain access to highly competitive professional internships, and take advantage of study abroad opportunities with an impressive global network of universities.
AUS is also among the top 400 universities in the world (QS World University Rankings 2022), and has the highest number of international faculty and international students in the region (QS Arab Region University Rankings 2022).
AUS will be at the International Education Show at Expo Centre Sharjah on October 19 and 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on October 21 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Visitors to Najah at Abu Dhabi’s ADNEC can meet with AUS representatives from October 27 to 29, daily from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
