AUS enters QS Global MBA rankings
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) offered by American University of Sharjah (AUS) has been named among the world’s best, entering the QS World University Rankings: Global MBA rankings for 2022. The program joined the list for the first time this year, being named in the top 201-250 MBA programs worldwide and among the top 10 for the Middle East and Africa region.
QS Global MBA rankings recognize the best MBA programs globally, helping students to choose a quality program that meets their needs. The rankings consider indicators such as employability after graduation, return on investment for students, entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes, thought leadership and the diversity of students and faculty. To compile this year’s rankings, 53,792 employers and 42,639 academics were consulted and 27,831 alumni were evaluated.
The AUS MBA, offered by the university’s School of Business Administration (SBA), is now in its 21st year, having graduated hundreds of students since its launch in 2000. These alumni now include some of the region’s most distinguished leaders of business and government. Those currently enrolled in the AUS MBA benefit from the close links SBA has fostered with the region’s business community, including organizations such as Unilever, Proctor & Gamble, L’Oréal, Etihad, Emirates and PWC, among many others.
For Dr. Narjess Boubakri, Dean of SBA, the new QS ranking is evidence of the outstanding experience provided to AUS MBA students.
“We work closely with businesses and business leaders to ensure that our MBA curriculum is up-to-date with industry needs and abreast of rapidly changing economic factors. This places our graduates in good stead to progress their careers and to contribute to the region’s emergence as a global hub for trade and commerce. The strength of the program, and the strong performance of our graduates in the workforce is reflected by the recognition by QS of our MBA as one of the best in the region,” Dr. Boubakri said.
Amna Alnuaimi, an MBA student at AUS, explained why she chose the program.
“The culture at AUS embraces a unique diversity of minds and talents. The MBA program is no different; it covers all business fundamentals and incorporates practical experiences with real-life businesses. As I have found my long-awaited passion during this program, I encourage entrepreneurs and professionals to hop onboard and enjoy an enriching and insightful journey.”
The AUS MBA program’s flexible schedule and evening classes make it attractive to working professionals. SBA’s dedicated Graduate Program Office helps MBA students select courses in keeping with their career interests, and provides guidance on planning their schedules and meeting administrative requirements.
In addition, graduate assistantships and other graduate student employment opportunities can help cover eligible students’ tuition costs, while giving them the opportunity to work alongside SBA’s world-class faculty members.
