AUS professor contributes to e-commerce and digital marketing event for ambitious women
Working with American University of Sharjah (AUS), NAMA Women Advancement Establishment and the Badiri Education and Development Academy hosted the online event, E-Commerce and Digital Marketing. The event aimed at providing women from across the UAE with the most up-to-date insights on e-commerce and digital marketing, showing them how advances in the field can assist them in the careers and business ventures.
Targeting new female investors and entrepreneurs, the event helped participants learn more about topics such as the future of e-commerce in Sharjah and UAE, key channels for digital advertising, best practices for digital marketing and organizational challenges for digital marketing.
Dr. M. Sajid Khan, Head of the Department of Marketing and Information Systems at AUS’ School of Business Administration, was a special panel member at the event. He addressed the specific questions, “What is the importance of digital marketing?” and “What are the key channels for digital marketing?”. Dr. Khan was joined by Hisham Akhtar, Senior Venture Associate at the Sheraa, the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center located on the AUS campus.
Dr. Mona Al Ali, Manager of the Badiri Education and Development Academy, said of the event: “Badiri Academy expresses gratitude to AUS and Dr. Khan for accepting our invitation and taking time to participate in this important discussion panel.”
