American University of Sharjah (AUS) solidified its position as a leading university in the Arab region, consistently ranking among the top 10 institutions and the top 5 percent of universities in the region. According to the QS Arab Region University Rankings 2025, AUS is also ranked among the top three universities in the United Arab Emirates, coming second in employer reputation, a key indicator in the ranking.
This year’s QS Arab Region University Rankings evaluated 246 institutions across the region, using a methodology that assigned specific weights to 10 key indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, international research network, web impact, proportion of staff with PhDs, citations per paper, papers per faculty, proportion of international faculty and proportion of international students. These metrics are used to determine each university’s performance and overall rankings.
