Beyond the classroom: AUS rewards 32 students for extracurricular and athletic dedication
The American University of Sharjah (AUS) Office of Student Affairs (OSA) awarded 32 students with scholarships for their exemplary contributions to extracurricular activities and athletics at a special ceremony on campus. The scholarships, covering up to 25 percent of tuition fees, affirm the AUS’ mission to cultivate an environment where students can both excel academically and holistically.
The AUS Active Student Scholarship was presented to 16 students, highlighting their achievements in extracurricular endeavors and the positive impact they have left on their peers. Another 16 students received the AUS Athletic Scholarship, acknowledging their dedication to sports, sportsmanship and active involvement in various athletic disciplines.
"These awards underscore the incredible potential within our student body. The honorees' commitment, drive and accomplishments truly exemplify the holistic excellence we encourage at AUS. Being a student-centric institution, we are keen on celebrating such feats. It serves as motivation, reminding students that their all-rounded efforts are both recognized and essential for their holistic growth," said Dr. Lisa Bardill Moscaritolo, Executive Director of Student Experience at AUS.
