Mayor of Wroclaw, Poland visits AUS

His Excellency Rafal Dutkiewicz, the Mayor of Wroclaw, Poland, visited American University of Sharjah (AUS) today, February 9, and met with Dr. Bjorn Kjerfve, Chancellor of AUS.

During the meeting, Dr. Kjerfve briefed Mayor Dutkiewicz on the history of AUS and the various undergraduate and graduate programs it offers. He also discussed the university's future development plans and informed the visitors of its multicultural campus environment.

The Mayor, who is in Sharjah to explore collaboration opportunities between the Emirate and Wroclaw, thanked the Chancellor for his hospitality and expressed his appreciation of the campus and the progress AUS had made. He subsequently took a tour of the campus and visited various campus buildings.

The meeting was also attended by Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of the Department of Government Relations, Sharjah; Faisal bin Khalid, Executive, Department of Government Relations, Sharjah; Dr. Leland Bland, the Interim Provost; Dr. Jeannette Vinke, AUS Chief Operating Officer, and other senior officials.
