AUS students named finalists at L'Oréal Brandstorm 2016
Three American University of Sharjah (AUS) students won the National Finals at the L'Oréal Brandstorm 2016, a student competition for creative and entrepreneurial minds.
Ayah Qaddoumi and Raghad Shalaldeh, majoring in mass communication, and Deema Khairalla, majoring in marketing and information systems and minoring in mass communication, won the National Finals held in Dubai on May 9, 2016, which qualifies them for the International Finals in France next month. The AUS team will represent the Gulf region in this global competition at L'Oréal's headquarters in Paris.
The students were mentored by Dr. Mohammed Ibahrine, Associate Professor in Mass Communication.
The competition is designed to train advertising and marketing students in digital innovation leadership, where they gain professional experience and get the chance to work in a team with a creative agency. Brandstorm enables students to unleash their creativity and apply groundbreaking ideas to one of L'Oréal's international brands and distribution channels. Since 1992, the competition has given to more than 80,000 students worldwide the possibility to work on real-life challenges and be coached by top L'Oréal executives.
