Placement

The School of Business Administration (SBA) offers a dedicated placement and career services to help our business graduates and graduating seniors prepare for the world of work. This is a major transition for students and fresh graduates and they need support in making the right career decisions; finding the right job opportunities and honing their job hunting skills.  

We work in two ways:

• building a bridge for employers to connect with SBA students and graduates
• ensuring that our students and graduates have the needed career planning and management skills.  

SBA graduates are considered as “the gold standard” in young business talent today by employers and we provide access opportunities in our school for networking and information by these employers.

To enhance our business students’ employability and career planning capabilities, we offer a range of services to our students each semester including:

• Employer Networking – we host top employers in the region for presentations; classroom talks; assessment centers and interviews on a regular basis
• Career Coaching – we provide 1:1 advice to students on interview preparation; CVs and social media profiles; career decisions
• Skills Workshops – we have a program of career development workshops to professionalize students’ job search – Networking; CV Writing; Interview Skills and Job Hunting among others
• Jobs; Internships and Further Training – we advertise these opportunities for students and graduates through our social media and other channels
• Competitions and Volunteering – we facilitate our students to build their CV industry and work experience through participation in employer-sponsored competitions and volunteering to improve their hiring chances
• Alumni Outreach – we keep in touch with our business graduates and encourage them to share their work experience with students and job opportunities at their place of work.

Location:  The Office of Internships and Placement is located on the first floor (SBA 1109) in the School of Business Administration.
